Last Friday I caught up with my cousin and like most girls do, admired each others outfits. She exclaimed that she adored my bright orange plastic earrings which I bought a few years ago from a second-hand retro boutique in Melbourne. These earrings are pretty cool, but really I only wear them a couple of times a year. So I said; here take them. I’m sure this is an ancient custom some place in the world; if someone complements you on some physical possession you should honor the friendship by offering it to them. It made me happy to do this.
