Okay, so I don’t have children yet. But in my own childhood I treasured the photo albums, the jewels and trinkets my Mother saved to give to my sister and me.
So now I’ve done the same. I’ve collected up the stories books I liked the best, tied up my old diaries in ribbons and wrapped my old teddy bears in tissue paper. I discarded the things not neccessary, like excessive school sports carnival ribbons, diaries only half written, cards that didn’t really make me smile (or bring a tear to my eye). And now its all in a secure rodent proof box ready for storage. Volume wise, I reduced the stuff by half and now I’m feeling happy.
